This very classy blue-black ink was custom-made for this very special collaboration between Gourmet Pens and PW Akkerman. Following the exquisite Gourmet Pens Pink (not biased, stating a fact), I thought it would be appropriate to have a work-wise, appropriate-for-all-occasions-ink. Sometimes, we just want to pick one ink and travel, or just ink multiple pens with the same ink and not have to worry about toting around many bottles. The joy of this ink comes to light when you have multiple pens inked because it can look so different. A wet, fine nib will give you a dark, solid blue. A wet, broad nib will give you a wide, delectable dark blue! A nib with medium flow will give you something entirely different - something in the blue-violet-grey range. It all depends on your pen’s nib and the paper you’re using.
This ink has another trick up its sleeve. Dilute with some distilled water and see what colors come out! Fill your pens, use your brushes, dig out your dip nibs, and have fun. This is the ink you are meant to play with, but you can work with it, too. Suitable for work, made for play: Business in the front, party in the back!
The glass bottle has a marble seated in the neck to help you get to the very last drop - extremely practical, and extremely cool. When you've used it all up, you can reuse your bottle with other inks that come in *less practical and cool* bottles.
