A vial of resin suspending your favorite ink with a nib attached to it. Pure minimalism with an ink capacity completely unobstructed by threads or caps. The Silmaril differentiates itself by combining the grip section and body for pure demonstrator glory.

Mayfair Pens crafted these beautiful pens using glow-in-the-dark material poured just for this project and Vulcanized rods. The body is inspired by the rock walls of the mines of Moria, while the ends are inspired by the glowing script, mirrored only by starlight and moonlight, as Gandalf and the fellowship come up the walls of the mines, where a door is hidden between two trees.

Speak, friend, and enter

<Elvish> Mellon </Elvish>

The idea of this pen, besides being able to collaborate with Mayfair Pens, and Stormwind's Creations, and injecting some of my favorite stuff, was to celebrate the friends that we are. No matter what pen you own, all it takes is an interest and love for pens and stationery to belong to this fellowship! But having a really fun pen like this is just the icing on the cake. Or the ring on the finger, perhaps. Speak, friend, and you are a pen-friend.

Each pen is fitted with a JoWo #6 polished steel nib in fine, medium, or broad.

Made available to you on March 25, the day that - was Lord of the Rings to have a calendar - would have been the day Gollum fell into the magma of Mount Doom, and with nine pieces available (I know you LOTR fans will get it). You can take one wild guess who has the prototype - one to rule them all.

Nerdery and jokes aside, I hope you thoroughly enjoy this pen.

Important Note: The Silmaril is a pure eyedropper filled through the nib hole. In order to create the suspended ink effect it cannot accept a cartridge or converter. The nib is removed and it is filled through that hole. The Jowo #6 nib is then threaded back into the pen in order to complete the seal. As with all eyedroppers a touch of silicone grease on the nib's threads is beneficial! While this is likely not an on-the-go ink refill candidate, having one less removable part also means it has one less part that can leak. It’s also quite easy to disassemble and clean. (This is what Mayfair says, but I can promise you I've refilled this on the go!!)
