Viola Irene Desmond, a Canadian civil/women’s rights activist and businesswoman of Black Nova Scotian descent, challenged racial discrimination and refused to back down. In addition to a posthumous pardon, the Bank of Canada now features Viola on the lavender purple $10 note - the first Canadian woman to be featured. This ink is inspired - truly - by Viola’s courage - and aims to reflect the purple of the $10 note.
This ink was made by Ink Institute in Taiwan, and the colour is inspired by something special to Canada. Comes with a colour-matching ink splat sticker!
